Captain Stéphane Delage, head of the Juvenile Brigade, witnesses the death of a close friend and fellow officer, who is replaced by Laurence Dorlaville. On her very first day, Delage learns that Simon, the 13-year-old son of his late colleague, has attempted suicide. Even more disturbing, the gun Simon used is identified as the same weapon used to shoot a security guard at a shopping mall.
