Steel blades and folding mechanisms are fitted into pocket knives, soft soapstone is cut and polished into decorative and functional objects, electrical windings and insulated cores are assembled into pole-mounted transformers, and wooden frames and woven webbing are fashioned into traditional snowshoes.
